Out of Body Experience

Out of Body Experience is defined as hallucination by standard ‘mainstream’ science and is well described and referenced as such in this WikiPedia article, provided for historical and scholarly purposes: Out of body experience

Based upon extensive personal experience by Tom Campbell as described in his trilogy My Big TOE, we would not agree to this characterization. OOBE as experienced by Tom Campbell, Robert Monroe and many others represents the connection, while still remaining a participant in the PMR Virtual Reality, to the data stream representing another VR such as NPMR which is then subjectively interpreted, as filtered through the PMR Rule Set. It is neither paranormal experience nor hallucination and is well understood here.

As an additional reference, consider reading Tom Campbell’s written Lecture, prepared from his posts on the MBT Bulletin Board: [An Orientation to Nonphysical Experience].
